Tidewater Regional Group Home Commission!

The Tidewater Regional Group Home Commission is a regional agency, created through a joint resolution signed by the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton.

The mission of our agency is to operate community-based programs for children who are at risk of coming before or have already come before the juvenile and domestic relations district courts. Recognizing that our clients often need assistance in several aspects of their lives, we operate as part of a continuum of care and seek opportunities to collaborate with other service-providing agencies. Our programs are designed to help our clients develop the skills necessary to lead productive, law-abiding lives. An integral part of that process is to hold our clients responsible for their choices and for them to experience the logical consequences of their actions.
