JOB LISTINGS

To apply for any TRGHC position, please follow the instructions below:

Application packets must be complete and submitted directly to the program that is advertising the position.  A complete packet includes the following information:  A completed Virginia state application and a current (within 30 days) driving record.  A resume, diploma and/or cover letter may be required if specifically indicated.

Full-time position providing administrative support to director and asst. director of two busy group homes for teenagers. 40 hours/week will be split between two programs. High school degree, 1-2 years experience and strong computer skills are necessary, proficiency in Word, Excel preferred. Basic knowledge of office equipment, excellent spelling and grammatical skills, basic math skills and the ability to produce multiple monthly reports also required. Candidate must have the ability to work with the public and with teenagers, to prioritize and to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for top-notch therapists (LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, CSOTPs, etc.) interested in providing services to adolescents and/or their siblings, parents and families on a part-time (up to 40 hours/week available) basis.    Candidates will provide outpatient therapy (individual, family and group) on a fee-for-service basis to be negotiated.  Administrative support and other job amenities provided.  References listed on the state application form must include one supervisor, and proof of licensure at full level or the ability to become licensed (master's degree) must be provided.

Salary:    $11.74 per hour

To provide counseling and supervision of adolescents in residential facilities. Work is on an as-needed basis, to serve as relief for regular staff. Some evenings/weekends required. Experience with troubled youth preferred.

 

EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS

 

New Counselor Accession Program

This program is designed to provide a one-year, entry-level work/training opportunity for recent human services graduates with an interest in and superior potential for becoming counselors in one of the Commission’s programs.  Applicants must have a minumum grade point average of 3.0 to be considered.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position leading to a permanent position.  Selectees are employed for a fixed period of time (not to exceed 52 weeks) and scheduled to work 40 hours per week.  Starting pay is currently $26,863 annually for applicants with a bachelor’s degree.  Applicants with a master’s degree will start at $28,743.  Position includes generous benefits.  Upon successful completion of the 52-week work/training experience, individuals are offered a full-time salaried position in one of the Commission’s programs at $30,604 annually.

Program participants are under the administrative supervision of the Commission's Deputy Director, who will manage the work/training program, make work schedule assignments and provide performance reviews after weeks 16, 32 and 48. Day-to-day supervision will be provided by the program director to whom the participant is assigned.

Career Transition Accession Program

This program is designed to provide a career-transitional work/training opportunity for individuals with an interest in and superior potential for becoming counselors in one of the Commission’s programs. Applicants may have a human services degree but lack the qualifying experience working in a related field, or applicants may be working in a related field but have a degree in something other than human services. The program is designed to provide basic and continuing education to enhance the counseling skills of employees to serve adolescents and families in residential group home, diversion, and various non-residential settings.

This is a temporary, full-time position leading to a permanent position.  Selectees are employed for a period of time (not to exceed 52 weeks) and are scheduled to work 40 hours per week.  The length of the temporary employment will be determined based upon previous related experience and successful job performance.  Starting pay is currently $26,863 annually.  Position includes generous benefits.  Upon successful completion of the work/training experience, individuals are offered a full-time salaried position in one of the Commission’s programs at $30,854 annually.
